Oltrevisus Centre
Eye screening in Imperia, with a medical report
A quick, accessible check with a medical report, close to you.
Seeing well doesn’t always mean everything is under control
You read without effort. You drive confidently in the evening. Your new glasses look great on you.
And yet your eyes are also made of what you can’t see. The retina, the optic nerve, the pressure inside the eye. Many changes come on slowly, without warning signs.
That’s why the best time to get checked is precisely when everything seems fine. Now you can do it with us, in Imperia, with a check that looks at the back of the eye and the eye pressure.

The service
What is Oltrevisus

Oltrevisus is an eye screening service designed to make check-ups accessible, quick and clinically reliable. It takes place at the optician’s and includes remote medical reporting.
Poliottica is an Oltrevisus Centre. It is part of a network of member opticians that brings screening close to people, without unnecessary waiting.
Technology collects the data, the doctor interprets it.
The Oltrevisus Method
How it works, in three steps
- 1
Guided test, about 20 minutesYou go through the test on your own with guidance, and we’re with you at every stage. It’s non-invasive and painless.
- 2
Data sentImages and measurements are sent via dedicated software to an ophthalmologist.
- 3
Medical report within 24-48 hoursYou receive a structured report with clear guidance. If further checks are needed, the report sets out the next steps.
The tests
What it lets you check

The Oltrevisus test includes screening checks that help look at important aspects of eye health.
- Back of the eye with retinography, an image of the retina.
- Eye pressure with tonometry.
- Visual quality
Behind every check is the Oltrevisus Method. Reports signed by ophthalmologists, a standardised clinical protocol, set turnaround times and quality checks throughout the process.
For you
Who is it recommended for

For anyone who wants to look after their eyes simply, especially if they haven’t had them checked for a while. You don’t need symptoms, because prevention is useful precisely when it doesn’t depend on them appearing.
Oltrevisus mentions some situations in which more regular checks are advisable, for example when
- glaucoma runs in your family;
- you are over 40;
- you are very short-sighted;
- you have diabetes.
If you already have symptoms, a known condition or specific circumstances, the right thing to do is to see an ophthalmologist directly.
Two different checks

Oltrevisus is a screening and guidance service. It does not replace a full eye examination by an ophthalmologist, but it helps pick up any signs that should be looked into with a specialist.
